VEGAS and a New Friend!

It has been hard at times getting into my late 20's, and having all my girlfriends get married...I really miss having my girls around to live with and hang out with, doing single things! So I am so glad that I have found a really fun girl to live with and be social with again! Her name is Jenny, we met just over a week ago and have totally hit it off. We are actually both in the same situation with being homeless and looking for a place to live. We even both have a rack of clothes hanging in our cars! Haha! We have found a house in Lehi that we are trying to rent out. We found one other girl and so we are hoping to get into it this week! I am really excited to be in a big nice house with fun girls that I can play with!
The new job at ReadyPak is going really well. I really like everyone I am working with and my position. It is a bit crazy right now with everything going on with the company, and so things will be changing a lot with my position, but its a great opportunity to move up as well. I feel very good about my decision to move up here and take this position. It will just be nice to finally get settled in somewhere.
So Jen and I have hung out a ton since we met and we actually went down to Vegas this past weekend! It was so random and fun! We decided to go at 7 and were at the airport at 8:30! I actually found someone who is as random and spontaneous as me! ;) It was a great weekend staying in 3 different places and hanging out with some of her friends. I even met a super nice, fun and hot guy! Hoping to be able to see him again! ;) Lots more adventures to come with what Jen and I are planning!
Standing in the lobby of the Wynn Hotel lobby....loved all the red....so pretty!
Loving how comfy our beds were!

Workin it in the shower! Ha silly girls!
Workin it in the tub!
Jen showin off our ride!
Ridin around in AJ's hot truck!
We went and shopped around a bit and couldn't believe some of the styles that are out there these days! We about died trying some of them on for fun! These pants are actual jeans....think they are bright enough?!

Honestly.....who thought up this design!
We played in the arcade for awhile and look at all the fun stuff we won! And yes we carried this around the casino all night! Everyone was jealous! This is my boyfriend Celestino who gave us a bit bigger stuff animal than he was supposed to! ;)
They had random statues of Sponge Bob Square Pants for some reason!
AJ, Jen's friend, finally came to play with us!
Have to get a pic with Elvis in Vegas!

Tribute to my Birthdad

Even though I never was able to meet my birthdad I do have a connection to him. Today would have been his 45th birthday...but he passed away Oct. 27th of 2007. He may have made some poor choices in his life, but overall he was a very loved and cared for man. I am very grateful to have been able to meet his family and to now be able to consider them part of my family. I do hope to one day have the opportunity to meet him and let him see who I am...because I know he has always wanted to. Happy Birthday Jim!

Moving....yup....AGAIN!

Alright so you don't have to say it....I already know....I am crazy! Once again I am making another big move. This is a super sudden one. My friend Kelsie's husband, Jake, called and offered me a job working for him and his partner's company. I will be working as their personal/office assistant. The job pays really well.....definitely better than what I've been working my butt off making with 2 jobs! I am really excited about it because it will be enough that I can get my student loans paid off tons faster and just get myself in a better financial situation. I will definitely still be doing massage whenever I can and eventually do more schooling to get me where I ultimately want to be with it. So even though I am sick of moving...its happening again. But hey...I'm still single so this is the time I can just up and change things again! Might as well live it up! If you want to know how seriously crazy I am.....I accepted the job Tuesday and I start this coming Monday! SUPER sudden and fast! My life is going to be chaos til I get all situated with an apt again...but we'll get it all figured out. I really think this is going to be a good thing for me.
So to those of you in St George that I am leaving....I really will miss you! Don't worry though....when I cant handle the cold up there anymore I will be back to play! And you need to come up and visit too! And to those of you that I left 5 months ago....I hope you are excited to have me back!

Happy New Year...2009!!!

Can you even believe that it is already 2009?!!! I know I cant! It seems as if this year has flown by at a ridiculous rate. The older I get...I swear the faster time is passing me by! I am really hoping that 2009 ends up being a good year! After being in Seattle for a week its been back to the workaholic grind. New Years Eve I worked all day massaging and then went straight to Red Robin. Luckily I got out of there at like 10....I had been feeling pretty crappy all day so I had been thinking I would just go home. But.....me....go not have a good time for New Years?! Yeah you all know me better! So somehow I made it to a friend's masquerade party and pretty much stayed up WAY too late! It was super fun though....but man did I pay for it for a few days! Haha! Hope you all had a great New Years! Wish everyone the best in the year to come!

Christmas 2008!

Alright so I've been needing to post for a bit now cause I have lots to catch up on. It was really nice to be able to go home for Christmas...since I never make it home these days. As you can see from my last post....there was TONS of snow! It was so crazy cause I've never seen it snow like that there before. It was fun to have for Christmas but kinda ruined getting together with several people. I was however still able to spend lots of time with my family and get together with some friends. All the pics below are from the different happenings over Christmas.
Christmas day with my cute Dad and brother Kirk. My brother cooked us eggs benedict once I got up, which was amazingly good...he is a fabulous cook! Then we opened presents...I got a really nice new phone, which I needed badly after having mine go swimming twice! I also got a super cute new bathrobe, a bunch of gift cards and a new watch. Fun day.
So uh this was at Christmas dinner. My dad cooked us a great dinner and well....lets just say my brother and I havent changed much! Hahaha....my dad wonders how we got so weird....and well we just remind him who raised us! ;)

Me, Tawnia Singleton, and Kate Cowley

For years my good friend Kate and her family have always had a big Christmas Eve party which had been our tradition to go to until a few years ago they stopped having it since their family was mostly in Utah. So I was really excited when they decided to have it again this year! Yay! Its always fun to catch up with everyone! I wanted a picture of these ladies because they were both a big part of helping change my life this past year. Both of them are amazing and I owe them more than I can ever repay them!
I miss you!
Me, Emily Kinghorn, and Kate Cowley

Its become our thing for us girls to get together for breakfasts whenever we can. So since the three of us were home for Christmas we braved through the snow and had breakfast together. We were just sad Anne couldnt make it cause she was snowed in her house. And we were missing Kelsie, Hannah and Dana!
Andrea Arany-Kovacs, Me and Andy Landau

So its been crazy how many people I have reconnected with this past year. Its all due to Facebook. While I was home a few of the people I have been talking with again after like 9 years, decided we needed to have a little reunion. Andrea and I were like inseperable best friends from like 4th grade to high school and Andy and I went to school together all growing up. It was crazy to be with them again but it was super fun! We just met and went to lunch and then went shopping.

Those of you who have been reading my blog for the past year know that I found my birth mom and have been having fun meeting all my birth relatives on her side and my birth dad's side. Well I was bummed out cause I havent seen my birth dad's family since I met them in June, they live in Oregon. But we had planned to get together while I was home in Seattle and because of the snow it didnt happen. But my birth dad's mom, Jeannie and his sister, Nikki, live in Bellevue and Renton, which are suburbs of Seattle. So we were still able to get together. Jeannie wanted to take my family out to dinner so she chose to take us to Daniels Broiler, which is a super nice/expensive seafood restaurant. We lucked out and got squeezed into the private meeting room area. It was really fun to eat with her and to be able to meet Nikki. It has been great for my family to be able to slowly meet parts of my new family. I really do appreciate how great they have been about it....they have been super easy going with meshing with the different families. It has been fun to have all this new family!

My cute family!
