So there is a celebration called the Holi Festival of Colors that they celebrate in India. Utah is home to the largest Krishna Temple in the US and they hold this celebration as well. It is a huge event that tons of people from all over Utah and surrounding states come to participate in. Everyone buys these bags of colored chalk and then just throws it all on each other. They have a count down to when everyone is supposed to start at the same time, but most people are pretty covered before it even starts. It is a crazy little party, but so much fun! Then there is food, dancing, and well just a bunch of colored, dirty people! I have heard about this for a couple years and have known people who have gone before but havent made it til this year. I am so glad I did, cause it was a blast! We just went with a group of people and from the pics below, you can tell how covered we got! The color comes out easier than you would think, but there were a couple parts of my body that were stained for a few days! And I blew purple boogers for a day too! LOL. Good times!
