Sleepover!

This past weekend, we had a work party sleepover! We got to stay at a resort type place for the night. Unfortunately we didnt have all the girls show up, but those of us who did, had a blast. We started the night by grubbin it up! We cooked huge, I mean huge, burgers, had salads, chips and salsa, cookies, chips, cheesecake, pie, candy, fruit, and pretty much whatever we wanted! We seriously pigged out all night! Then we went to the pool and tried doing some water aerobics. Jed looked like quite the ladies man there w him and 7 women! After we went back to the room and played games for hours. After a night of not enough sleep, we headed back out to the pool! And dont you worry, I went prepared w all my floaties! Which I think all the girls enjoyed! I had a total blast and was glad I got to know some of the girls a lot more! I am lucky to have found a salon w girls that are a ton of fun and have been so nice to me! Hopefully we'll have lots more good times to come!
Jed and Kerensa....the owners of the salon. Such a crazy couple! ;)
Brooke, enjoying the good grub!

Playing Jed's game....Greeny Wheenie! Yeah not sure who picked the name on that one!
Jed, looking mischievous! Hmm....maybe cuz he was cheating!
And Storme won! Look at all that chocolate!
The 5 girls that slept over, minus Kerensa. Storme, Jamie, Me, Julie, and Ashley!

Such a cute look for Storme! ;)
Mmm....good food!
Not sure whats going on here.....Ashley and Kerensa
Jed.....groovin to his tunes!

This is why we love St George! We'll be doin this for a few more months! ;)

OLYMPICS!!!

So I have really gotten into watching the Olympics and I just love watching them! Here are some of my favorites that I've watched:

How could anyone not have loved watching Michael Phelps accomplish what he did! He is amazing!

Gymnastics was such a nail biter for the all around Gold. But Nastia Luikin definitely deserved it! Hard to believe some of the scores the judges were giving, a lot of them seemed unfair, but it ended up alright. Otherwise I would have been so upset!
Shawn Johnson also put up a good fight and ended up w the Silver, but she did get a Gold on the balance beam too!
I absolutely loved watching diving! The synchronized diving just amazes me how perfectly insync they can be with each other!
Its hard to believe that all these athletes train so hard for so long and then their events end so quickly! It really is inspiring to watch what they go through to get where they are and to watch so many not give up and just keep pushing through! Makes me feel like I need to get off my couch! haha

New town, new house, new job....

I've been down in St George for a week now and for the most part things are going well. I will admit it still feels weird being back down here, almost like I've been visiting or something. But I started my new job at the Euphoric Salon and Day Spa. Its a really cute place and I really like all the girls I work with a lot. They have been super nice and welcoming to me. The only downside so far has been that its a little slow as far as clients go for me. It makes me a little nervous cause I need to be making money now. But this week we are starting to do a bunch of marketing to get the word out that I'm there. Hopefully it will pick up soon.

So I havent ever been a girl that has gotten way into all the salon stuff, like pedicures, waxing, facials, or doing lots of stuff w my hair. Well I am afraid to say, I think working at a salon is gonna get me hooked! I already set up trading w one of the girls to cut and color my hair tomorrow! I'm excited! On saturday we were super slow, so while sitting around the girls talked me into waxing my upper lip and my nose! I have never waxed anything in my life....one because my skin is extremely sensitive and ....two because I hate keeping up with this stuff! But I have been feeling like I needed my lip waxed and my nose hairs have always bugged me, but I had no clue people wax it! So I decided to do it and it so wasnt bad at all, didnt really even hurt much! I totally recommend it! Here are the pics of the lovely nose waxing. She put the wax in my nose, stuck a stick in each, let the wax dry, pinched my nose, and then yanked out the stick! I know, sounds really painful, I totally thought it would be, but it honestly wasnt bad at all! My eyes didnt even water! Anyways, I'm a new fan and I'm sure I'll be enjoying lots of other salon stuff! ;)

Such attractive pictures....I know!

This past weekend, I already had my first visitors. Haley, her boyfriend Walker and his roommate Tyler came down to hang out. I thought it was funny just cause I hadnt even been gone a week, but I was more than happy to have them come! Haley and I have spent lots of time together for the past few months, so its been sad to be away. But we had a lot of fun, Haley and Walker went to a play at Tuachan, which they had gotten tickets to and they ended up selling out so we couldnt. So Tyler and I went to a movie, that was horrible and then headed down to Mesquite. Then Haley and Walker met us there. We just played a few tables, some slots, haley and I danced and then we came home. It was really fun. Then we all went to breakfast at the best place ever here, The Bear Paw Cafe, and the guys went golfing. When they got back Haley and I had made them a great dinner. It was a really fun weekend and I'm excited they like coming down to play with me. Hopefully they'll be back soon!

I've Moved!

Well I must say that it feels weird to be back down in St George! I made the move down yesterday. I am living at my friend Connie's place, which is super cute! She is a travel nurse in CA now, so she is only here once a month. So I pretty much have the place to myself...and don't worry there is a pool across the street from me! And yes...I will be spending lots of time there! I got myself all unpacked today and cleaned up everything to how I like it. It really does feel weird to be back down here....its hard to believe its already been a year since I made the move from here up to Salt Lake. But I'm excited and I feel good about it all. I will miss being close to so many people up there! I start my new job tomorrow, which I am very excited about! Its been so long since I actually worked and made some money....so I'm more than ready to be gettin going w work! Well just wanted to let everyone know....sorry to anyone who I didnt get to see before I left. I was kinda crazy busy getting stuff ready and I havent been the best at calling people lately. If anyone is down this way.....call me up!

Stewart Falls

There is a guy that I have been hanging out w for the last week....Haley and I met him at the pool. Well yesterday he took me on a hike up by Sundance, called Stewart Falls. Oh my gosh....it is so pretty up there (as you can see from my pics!) I'm not sure how long of a hike it was, I would guess around 2.5 miles each way. It was a really hot day, so we were all sweaty and couldnt wait to be able to get in the water and play. But once we got there, the falls werent in the sun and the water was freezing! Cold enough that we cooled down quickly enough that it wasn't so enticing anymore. We attempted, but well honestly, I'm a wuss when it comes to the cold! We had a good time though! These pics prove that there is beautiful scenery here in Utah!

The water was freezing and as you can see, Ammon was a lot more brave than I was!
