I'm Moving!

Yes this is my 3rd post of the day....lots to catch up on! But the biggest thing, for me, is that I got a job and I'm moving back down to St George! I have done a lot of pondering and praying about whether or not this is a good move and things have just kinda fallen into place! I went down there for 2 job interviews on Monday. There was one that I wanted so bad, and yeah left the interview crying cause I didnt get it. But then I got the 2nd job and it turned out to be better than I thought. So I feel good about it and there is still a chance that w/in the next couple months I could get on part time at the first place I wanted. But the place I will be starting at is called The Euphoric Salon and Day Spa. They had 2 therapists, and one of them just quit and walked away from her clients. So I get to come in and just pick up all of her clients, which she said have been calling daily wondering when a new therapist would be there. The other girl works very part time. The owner Kerensa and the other stylists there seem like fun cute girls. I think it will be a good starting job, and the money is pretty good.....okay like amazing compared to what I've ever made! I start August 14th, so I'll be moving in 2 weeks! I'm super excited to finally have things going again! I've been playing the waiting game for 2 months and it will finally be over! Feels good!

This past week we ended up doing another get together so that we could all see Kels and Hannah. Unfortunately, Kate is the only one we're missing! Dana's birthday is this week too, so we made it a celebration for her as well! It was so much fun for us to all be together again. We had some pretty good laughs, that even ended w some of us in tears! Oh how I love these girls! It really is amazing that we have this little group that we do. Because no matter how long its been we can get together and its like we're back in high school or living in the Glen"hood" in provo! We're gonna have to make something work when Kate can be there too!

Busy Week!

Alright so this past week has kept me pretty busy! To start off, my friend Kate was in town, from New York, where she has been livin the life w her hubby! We tried to do a get together and the only time that worked was for us all to do breakfast at 730am Saturday morning. Since Emily was a free woman w no children we went out to eat at Mimi's Cafe. It was a lot of fun to catch up and just be together. The sad thing is that the other girls to this group, Kelsie and Hannah were also in town this week but we were never able to make it work w all of us together at once! We are going to have to do something about that next time!

Okay so I had to post these pics and tell this story too cause it makes me laugh! So my friend Haley and I have been spending lots of time at the pool...living the retired life....or wait is that the jobless life?! ;) Well last Saturday we ended up out there again, met some boys and went out to eat after at Applebees. When we pulled up in the parking lot, there was a little girl w the an awesome balloon hat on, so I rolled down my window and told her it was the coolest one I'd ever seen! And to my surprise, when we went inside, there was a balloon man there! (yes, random I know) So I of course made him make me and Haley one! Sadly the guys we were with didnt want one! Imagine that! ;) These are pics of what they looked like and yes, dont worry I did wear that in the restaurant! But check em out!

Time is Flying!

Man, I swear this summer is just flying by..its almost August! Its hard to believe that I have already been out of school for almost 2 months! Makes me feel like things really are taking forever to get going! Ha. I was thinking about all this today, because I went to lunch w some friends from school. We met up at The Pie Pizzeria by the U of U campus. It was fun to see them and catch up....its kinda weird not to see them more since I was with them almost every day for 7 months. Sad thing is that all three of them will be moving back to Idaho and Montana soon. These guys got me through those 7 months!

Just to give you a quick update. As I said earlier, I passed my National Certification so on monday I was able to go and apply for my Utah License, which I am just waiting to get in the mail now. I interviewed at a day spa, which for those of you who dont know, massage interviews are hands on. This was my first and I was a bit nervous. I am very confident in my massage abilities but its just different when a place likes things done a certain way. Anyways, I was hired on the spot but I havent accepted it yet. I am waiting to hear what commission split they offer, which I'm thinking other places are higher. But I am also heading down to St George for some interviews down there, so things are still up in the air, but finally progressing! Its exciting for me though!

Solid Friendships!

You know you have a solid friendship with someone when you can go years without seeing each other or talking much, and when you get together....its as if no time has passed! I was able to have a little reunion this weekend with the 2 girls I was closest with my freshman year at Utah State. Kim (Skidmore) Noel and Staci (Clark) Koudelka were the girls who got me through living in the dorms and transitioning from high school into college. We had some great times! Lots of way too late nights, boy drama, hard times, long talks and just amazingly fun memories!

Of course both of them are married now and have kids....me...yeah still workin on that! :) But Staci and her husband just moved closer and decided to have us over for a BBQ. So I rode with Kim and her family out to their house. It was so great to see them all. Kim and I have seen each other more recently, but it had been at least 3 years since I'd seen Staci. So we just sat and talked and caught up, ate some good food, and watched 3 adorable kids entertain us. It was so good to see them all. I'm glad to see them both so happily married. They are great girls and will always be considered close friends. We just need to get together more often....for heaven sakes! I'm sure we will have more great times together! Thanks for the great memories girls!

CERTIFIED!!!!

Whoo hoo! I PASSED!!!!!!! I took my test today and actually passed! It was a tough test and I honestly finished it thinking I had failed! But then the lady was like "Congrats" and I was like...wait why....DID I PASS? And she was like yeah you did! Oh it feels so great! I really am done now....I'm at the point I can finally just get my license and get a job! I am so happy and excited! The Lord obviously loves me....cause things have just worked out so well for me lately....I know he is helping me! So now I can actually start interviewing! So I give you all a reason and permission to celebrate on my behalf! :0)

Test Time!

I can FINALLY take my test! I've been patiently waiting to be able to take my National Certification test so I can actually get a real job and make some money again. I found out this week that I am approved and can finally take it! I was hoping to take it today but the soonest time slot they had was for Saturday at 1215 up in Ogden. So now I am cramming just to make sure everything is fresh in my mind. I'm nervous just cause I'm afraid I've forgotten things since its been so long since school ended. And if I fail I have to pay to retake it again! SO....any prayers you wanna send my way would be much appreciated! Wish me luck! ;)

I MISS ST GEORGE!

Since I am still just sitting around waiting to be able to take my test...(which is really getting annoying)...I decided that this was a good time to head down to St George and visit a bunch of friends and just hang out. So I headed down on Monday. I first stopped in Cedar City and spent time w one of my good friends Janene. She just had her 3rd baby about a month ago and I hadnt seen her yet. She is so cute. I spent a bunch of time just hangin w Janene and her kids. Her kids have a ton of energy and definitely keep her busy...sometimes I don't know how she does it! It was really nice to be able to spend time w them!
I also got to spend a bunch of time w my good friend Tiffany and her husband. We had lots of good talks and I was able to talk them into going boating for the 4th of July! It was so much fun! I absolutely LOVE boating and have been feeling deprived cause I havent been out once this year! So thanks to them, we had a great time on the lake all day for the 4th! I must say though, I am still feeling the soreness in my arms from my death grip on the tube! So fun!

While I was down there I also ended up going on a hike w Adam...a guy I used to date. We were going to go to one I did last year but when we got there, there was a gate up that was locked! I was so mad, cuz it was such a fun hike, w waterfalls and everything. Which make for a perfect hike in the blazing heat down there. So we settled for one of the hikes in the Kolob canyon fingers. It was still really pretty and we had a good time. But man, it sure did make me realize how out of shape I am! All that uphill climbing was totally felt in my thighs!

I also was able to spend some time w Marc. He had actually come up the weekend before I left cause his Grandpa was dying. So he hung out at my house all night w me. It was lots of fun....we played cards and played rockband for like 3 hours! Then when I was down in St George we went swimming in his pool. If some of you remember me helping he and his roommate remodel their new house....well it looks amazing now! They have put so much work into it! They have finished the inside and have been working on the yard. They got the pool and hottub up and running....which is so nice! I kept telling them it wasnt fair that they waited til I was gone to get their own pool! Then we just played pingpong and I took Marc out for a late birthday dinner. It was really fun and good to be around him. He is actually doing really good and seems so much happier....prob the best I have ever seen him. So we had some good talks. It was a bummer though, his grandpa passed away and so he ended up having to head back up north for the funeral on the 4th. Otherwise he would have been out boating w us. I am glad that we are still able to remain good friends. He is a good guy.

Well being down there really made me miss it and realize again how much I love it down there. So now I have it as one of my options I'm looking into for my big move again. I am going to get some interviews set up in the Phoenix and St George area and just put my feelers out so I can figure out where I need to be. All in all....my week down there was a lot of fun! Thanks to my great friends and all their hospitality! I will be back! ;)
