THE BLUE MOON!!!

Some of you may not have had the pleasure of riding in my new car yet...well I bought it in Jan. so its not that new. It is a hot little thing let me tell you what! I took a bit of a step down and got rid of my Jetta in hopes to save some money. I really should have just kept it but oh well...all I can say is dont go car shopping when you are having an emotional break down after being dumped! I miss my jetta! Haha! My little hotrod has become a bit of a joke and has been named the BLUE MOON! Its a dodge neon and its navy blue....so it came from the song Neon moon and turned into the blue moon! Love it dont you?! So I was so excited to find that there is a beer named after my car! Haha...dont worry its not my beer. But if I was to drink beer, this would have to be my choice! So for those of you who do drink beer...think of me if you see this bottle! I thought it was so funny and had to share! ;)

The Joys of Dating

I was reading a friends blog and she had a link to an article on dating...which was pretty good. It said something that I really liked and through my experiences have learned, is so true. "Dating is like driving. If you slow down when you see a yellow light, you won't have to slam on the brakes." Isnt that good?! Dating is definately interesting and it seems to become even more interesting the older I get. I have enjoyed dating and just having fun, but things are different for me now. I am ready to settle down and not just date to have fun but be serious and start a family. Its amazing that even though Im only 25 I somehow feel like Im old...and its because of the mentality of Utah...most my friends are married and have 1-2 kids. (Not that there is anything wrong w that you guys.) It just bugs me that because Im not married yet people act like I have to either be divorced or have something wrong w me. People really dont understand that its hard to date when you're older and they cant understand unless they experience it. Its interesting how different life is for everyone...it seems like love is so easy and just happens for some people and for others, you have to work at it and search harder for it. I am grateful for the time Ive had being single...I am continuing to learn more about myself and what I want. I just wish that I could find a guy that knows what he wants. It seems like so many guys that wait til they are older to get married, just dont know what they want. I get tired of the same scenario...we "hangout" all the time and spend tons of time together, but then they dont really actually date you and then by the time they come back around and decide you have moved on...they want what they cant have. Ive had several guys come back around after I was dating someone else and its like...sorry I was there for you for a long time and it didnt seem to matter then! All I know is that Im glad to be confident in the fact that Im a cute girl w a fun personality and a big heart. I am a freakin sweet catch of a girl!!! :) I just want someone to see me for who I am, let me love them, and love me back in return. It seems that I jump into things too fast and put my whole heart in...I am learning that I need to slow down and not rush things. That way...just like in the quote...I dont have to slam on the brakes and my heart hopefully wont get crushed as bad. But I have learned that heartache just comes w dating. So I keep on keepin on!

Reelin ya in...

Just to clear things up for people...since I have been getting a lot of questions about IF I am moving up north to Salt Lake or not. YES...everyone, Im not just thinking about it...it is happening! Its kinda been funny to me cause it seems that my blog has sparked a lot of questions in people because everyone feels like they dont get all the juicy details on here...but hellooooo? Do you guys not know me?! I am the queen of using things like this to spark your interest...I cant just give it all up..then you would all have no reason to call me! SO...sorry everyone but I have to leave you with a reason to still call me and keep in touch w me, instead of just letting you read up on me! This is my fish hook that slowly reels you in, til you cant take it anymore and you have to call me to get the details! Ha..I love it...makes me laugh! ;)
Things have been a bit stressful lately, trying to get things lined up to move. There has been a bit of a communication problem that has left me having to find a place to crash for a few weeks until I am ready to move...so looks like I'll be crashing at Marc's place for a few weeks. Dont worry everyone...I know this seems like it wouldnt be the best situation, but its fine. With the way things are between us, its not a big deal and should actually be a little fun. I wasn't left w many options!
This past weekend, I went up and visited my friend Loni who is at home for a bit. She grew up in Aurora, UT which is a very small town way out west. It was good to hang w her and see where she grew up. Her family is way cute and was very welcoming to me. We drove to her sisters in Gunnisen and then on to Ephraim to visit her 18 yr old bro who is just starting school there. WOW...is all I can say! It just amazes me when I visit home w my friends who grew in small towns...because it is SO different from where I grew up and I honestly cant even imagine what its like. I have once again been reminded that, I am more of a city girl. My perfect way to live would be just outside of a city in a more rural area. I have to have a city close to me though...I cant handle being so far out in the middle of nowhere! I guess I feel that way cause thats how I grew up. My parents house is roughly 10 miles up in the woods outside of a smaller city, just 15 min from Seattle...a big city! But then it only takes a 25 min drive to get out to the country. Thats just how I like it. We will see where I actually end up...hopefully I wont be eating my words!
I am excited for the next 2 weekends coming up! My BFF Jared is FINALLY coming down to see me again! We are going to go hiking and just have fun hangin. I havent seen him since Feb when he moved to Boise....Im super excited! I've missed him tons! Then the next weekend, I have tickets to see Larry the Cable Guy!!! He is coming to Mesquite and so Im going w Marc, his brother Doug and Doug's girlfriend. It should be way fun cause he is just plain hilarious!!! Time is going to fly between now and when I move.

More Details...

Well some of you have wanted some more info about mentioning a big move...so here ya go! Sometime in the next month or so, I will be moving up north to Salt Lake City. If you can believe it I am going to massage therapy school, which I am very excited about. It will be weird to be in school again, since its been FOREVER. The sweet thing is that its only 7 months full time and then I'll be done and able to do whatever I want w it. Im now looking at focusing more on sports massage and injury massage. Since working at the hospital, I have become pretty interested in the body, but I cant really handle working w the insides of the body. I can see it and look at it, but not have to touch it. I can however handle the outer body. Its also a very flexible occupation. I have already had lots of people offer to be my pracitice....you are all so nice to offer! I am trying to transfer hospitals w what Im doing now so its easier and we are looking for a place to live. So if anyone knows of a nice, but cheap 3 bedroom place, let me know! Normally when I move Im excited about it and ready to move on, but this time Im having a bit of a hard time. I still really like St George but there are reasons I feel that I need to move on. I love the weather down here and there are certain people that its going to be very hard to leave. But in the end I think it will be good for me, Im excited about school and about having a better social life up there. AND Im excited to be close to all my friends that are still up there! Ive missed you guys! Thats the update you are getting for now....for more details you can talk to me yourself! :)

Appreciation...

I have recently had the opportunity to watch a friend go through a very tough situation that has really hit home w me. To respect her privacy I wont divulge any info about it, sorry, but I do have some thoughts on how its effected me. I was able to be close to the whole process of her placing a baby for adoption. Since I am adopted, it really was a special thing for me to be part of. I now have a completely new respect and appreciation for my birth mother. I have always known that it must have been hard for her to give me up, but after watching a friend go through it and seeing how unbelievably hard it was for her, I now realize just how hard it was for my mother. Honestly, I cant even imagine how hard it was. Im not sure that I would be able to do the same. I really know and feel a bit of how much she really loved me to go through what she went through so that I could have a better life. I am so greatful that she did that for me, cause I have had a good life and I have a great family...as frustrating as they may be at times...they are my family and I love them. I cant even imagine having gone through life wout a dad around the whole time, since I am so close w my dad. I sat and held that baby and just thought about how I was that little baby at one point. Someone out there sat and held me, bawled her eyes out and gave away part of her. I know she is out there somewhere and thinks about me all the time. In the last few years I have had the feeling of wanting to find her, but now I am really going to try hard to find her. Not because I want to replace my mom, but because I want to be able to hug her and tell her thank you and let her know that I have had a good life. I want to show her who I am and I want to know what she is like. I mean freak she has to be awesome if Im anything like her!!! :) There are things that scare me about meeting her, but if for no other reason than to show her my appreciation, its worth it. Let the search begin!

Vegas Wedding!

I have now experienced my first real Vegas wedding, w Elvis and the whole shabang! Some friends decided they were ready to get married but since its the second marriage for both of them, they wanted it to be real low key. So we headed down to Vegas w a few friends and some family members and hit up the Little White Wedding Chapel. Oh my gosh...its so like what you see in the movies! I cant believe people really get married this way...sorry guys! The place was very interesting to say the least! Elvis even made an appearance and let us take pics w him...we were laughing so hard cause he looked and acted like he was on some major drugs! Ha! He just added to the experience though. We took pics in his "Tribute car" too. After the ceremony we went and ate at the Cheesecake Factory! Yum Yum! I think that place is one of my top fav restaurants! It was a fun night but definately not the way I ever see my wedding being! They seemed fine with it all and thats what matters! CONGRATS guys! With all the wedding lately, my only question is....who's next?!

Ready...set...

Yup, I've taken the plunge and joined the world of blogging. I've been thinking about it for awhile and decided that its finally time. Over the years I have made friends who are spread all over and it can be hard to keep track of everyone. I have some friends w blogs and I love reading about whats going on in their lives. I just thought I would help my friends out who have a hard time keeping track of me...cause we all know its not easy! I've been known to always have stories to tell, so now you can hear more of them. I try to keep life exciting!
For those of you who need to be caught up, Im currently living in St George, UT and Ive been down here for 16 months. Im in the process of tying loose ends together to make another big move. I have reached a point of needing another change...I am having a hard time with this one, but we'll just have to see what works out. SO stay tuned......
