I definitely had a very eventful and fabulous Thanksgiving weekend! I decided it was a perfect time to get away and head up north to Salt Lake City.....so thats what I did. I left Wednesday after work and got up there in time to hang out with a very good friend of mine from way back in the day. Stacy and I were friends in High School and feel kinda like sisters sometimes. But some how over the years we lost touch and she just recently found me on Facebook, an online site. So we have been talking and decided that we needed to play while I was in town. So for the first time in 9 years we got to hang out. We went downtown to a concert for Royal Bliss....it was SO much fun! Kind of a crazy night....but lots of fun! Thanks for the good times girl....so good to see you again!
Me and Stacy before we jumped out of the carI ended up spending actual Thanksgiving Day with my best friend Jared's family. He was really insistant on me spending it with him there.....and no we are not dating....JUST friends! His family was really nice to let me join in. The food was cooked by his Mom and Grandma....and was SO delicious! I seriously felt like all I did was eat and eat and gain 10 lbs. But thats what you're supposed to do right?! ;) Later that night, his Dad took some of us to the movie "Australia". Which I liked, it was very long....almost 3 hrs, but still good. Just have to be in the mood to sit that long. It was really fun and good to see and spend time with Jared again.
Friday I woke up and headed to breakfast with Sharlene (my birthmom), her husband Eric and her mom. It was the first time meeting her. It was really fun and very comfortable. I am so glad that things have become so easy for us to get together. She was very nice and fun to talk with.

I am so jealous that you and Stacy were able to get together! How fun! So many memories from high school with the 2 of you! Congrats on meeting your birth grandmother and more half siblings. This must all be so amazing and exciting for you. I can't wait to see you at Christmas and then again whenever you come to NYC! We are going to have a blast!!! Love you!

PS, maybe it is just in that picture, but I think your birth grandmother looks a little bit like your mom, Bonnie. Did she look like her in person?

Wow Kristy what a neat experience for you. To be able to meet your birth Mom, and to have more half siblings has got to be quite exciting! I am so glad that the visit went well for both you and them. All those great new memories that you are all making and sharing together, awesome. You are right, Your mom was needed to be in that picture with you. Why couldn't so go with you on this visit? Does she plan to go with you another time?
Ok...so I am with Kate, I am double jealous that you and Stacey got to hang out together. Too Fun for you guys!! So not fair. =) Glad you two were able to catch up.
